Andrew turned 1 on may 5th. It went so fast I cant even believe it. We had a great party with family and close friends. It was a busy weekend cause it was our anniversary, andrews birthday and mothers day all within days of each other. We had a BBQ for his birthday and then cake and ice cream. I decided that I would give Andrew his own cake for him to eat and Im so glad that I did cause he went to town and had so much fun with it. It was the shape of a monkey. It turned out so cute. I think I might do something like that every year. Thanks to everyone that came and made his first birthday a hit.

Now for his one year stats:

weight: 24lbs 3 oz

height: 31 inches

head size: 48 cm

I cant remember the exact size of the head...I cant remember where I put the paper with the measurements.

Some things that Andrew has been doing is

walking everywhere for the past couple of months

waving hi and bye

giving high fives

showing us what he wants to do

learning how to go down steps at grammys house

he is such a flirt with baby girls

he loves to touch new babies

he loves to play in the bathroom with the toilet paper any chance he gets

I just love how mobile he is now.

Well I was just trying to get pictures from facebook and post to here but its not allowing me. And because I was relying on my siblings to get some good pictures from the party I dont have them right now. As soon as I have them I will post them. So until next time.

9 MONTH STATS

weight 22 lbs 5 oz
height 29 3/4 inches

head size not a clue but ridiculously big, which would explain why he gets to go to the head doctor about possibly getting a helmet.

He is not crawling but trying to walk everywhere. In the past few months Liz and I have been running errands on Saturday and boy has Andrew had a good time and I have proof of just how much fun Andrew and Auntie Em have at the store.

This picture with the hat is around Christmas time. I wanted to find a hat for him that looked like this but in his size and no luck he head was to big for the babies ones so we went to the mens section and it finally fit. I was just a little large. I couldn't get over this picture it was so cute.

The one with the glasses we took a trip to Sam's club and they had the optical there and I thought he would look so cute with some glasses one. He is a looking a little nerdy but you just can't help but love him.

Anyways he is supposed to be getting tubes in this thursday for both ears and then should also be going to talk to the head doctor and see what they have to say. I love this kid to pieces oh and by the way he has gotten his 4th haircut at the age of 9 months. If they let it grow to long he begins to look like a girl so I convinced them he would look like little man if he got a haircut. Hopefully not Liz will keep this thing better updated for everyone and put his stats on here.

I LOVE MY LITTLE ANDREW!!!!!

4 months old

Andrews stats at 4 months:

Weight 17 lbs 2 oz 89%
Lenght 25 3/4 inches 80%
Head 44.6 cm 96%

More to come about Andrew. I really wanted a slurpee so we went and got one and I decided to share some with Andrew. I got him addicted to them. I would give him some and then once I would take a slurp he would cry for more. He is such a goof ball when it comes to food. He is trying to get our food all the time.

Andrew trying to get the slurpee cup.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v8.nonxt1.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D4e414c03573e5af2%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331897180%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D551895F6392B5AB85FC3F37B291B37B1DAC01D41.BC4372185009DCE77605569837B46AF96A67CCB%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D4e414c03573e5af2%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3Dwq3BOBoIqa-YEooW9l_fOQM3tXo&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

4 months old!

Oh boy time sure does fly when your having fun. Andrew is already 4 months old. We went to his check up the other day and he has grown so much. Right now he is 17 lbs 2 oz 89%, 25 3/4 inches long 80%, and 44.6 cm head 96%. Its no wonder why he cried every time we get him dressed for the day cause he has a huge head and he hates anything to go over it. He certainly has a personality now. He is laughing now at everything and still all smiles. He is such a happy baby except when he is hungry. He has discovered that if he doesn't get something with one cry he will do a different cry to get our attention. Its his cry saying HELLO I'm here you can't ignore me cause I will be obnoxious just for you till you give me attention cry. It sure is cute but can definitely drive you crazy sometimes. He is such a hand full but I certainly don't know what I would do without him. Currently we are just waiting for him to roll over. He always gets so close but then stops. I hope he waits till I get to see him do it for the first time. He also loves him bumbo that helps him sit up. He is doing so great and happier than ever. Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwwYCGyjmI/AAAAAAAAAJU/5JN_lgpj_us/s200/09-11-2010+179.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515836833062358626" />
mommy having fun doing a mohawk in my hair before my bath.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwxzE7MPII/AAAAAAAAAJk/H8Vc4dtQkxQ/s200/09-11-2010+127.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515838397187112066" />
Andrew trying rice cereal for the first time. I had to leave work and take a trip to the ER to find that I do have gall stones shown on an ultrasound and that I needed to get it taken out ASAP. So the following monday I made an appointment with the surgeon and he asked if I was okay for surgery for wednesday. I took the dive and went for it and got my gall bladder out 2 days later. We ended up staying at my parents house all weekend cause I was not about to walk up to our 3rd floor apartment. I was well taken care of even receiving a blessing on friday because I was throwing up all day dehydrated and constipated. So after throwing up all my pills I went to the ER again. Waited in the waiting room a few hours and finally got back to the doc to find out that I was super dehydrated and gave me some laxatives to get me to start going. Not too exciting. As of now I am all heeled up and can take care of my baby again. But unfortunately I have to go back to work on monday and I have to leave andrew again. One day I won't have to work and will be a stay at home mommy which is my dream! While I was out for my surgery I couldn't be left alone cause I couldn't pick up andrew so someone had to help me at all times. Well my wonderful sister decided to help me out and came over and babysat me and andrew. She was super excited to watch him. While she watched him she decided to play dress up with him. She put him in so many different outfits that were just so cute on him. My favorite one was the church outfit. He looked like a pimp. It was a black shirt white vest and tie with black pin stripes and also white pants with black pinstripes.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwwYCGyjmI/AAAAAAAAAJU/5JN_lgpj_us/s200/09-11-2010+179.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515836833062358626" />
He looks like such a PIMP!

3 months

August 5th Andrew was 3 months old. She had a blast with him there. She flew us out there for a friends wedding and then took us to the colorado springs zoo. We got to feed the giraffes and it almost licked andrew right on the face. It was super cute. He wore his outfit with the gorilla on it cause we all call him monkey. While we were there I had to go to the ER and found out that I had gall stones and that I will probably need to have my gall bladder removed. Melinda has showed everyone at her work pictures of him since day one and so they all wanted to meet him while we were out there. So everyone met him and they could have cared less about me. She works in the ER so we weighed Andrew and on August first he weighed 15 lbs. 2 oz. He is definitely a chunky monkey. Melinda also took us shopping for him and spoiled him rotten. Got him lots of clothes and some super cute sun glasses. We had a great time while we were out there and were almost late to our plane to come back home. I was the last one to board the plane with a screaming baby that was super hungry and tired.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwiUOYlYcI/AAAAAAAAAIs/wwiYMgHmgqM/s200/09-11-2010+072.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515821374475952578" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwiomynF0I/AAAAAAAAAI0/QYp-OztzrYQ/s200/09-11-2010+048.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515821724624951106" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwi30Vq7nI/AAAAAAAAAI8/BYChs1KB0L8/s200/09-11-2010+117.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515821985959702130" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwjF-XMBuI/AAAAAAAAAJE/WHnEw3a9Log/s200/09-11-2010+135.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515822229168588514" />

Hair Cut

Andrew got his first hair cut on July 27th. It was so long that we just had to get it done but now I really miss his long hair. But thats okay cause it is already growing back. His Aunt Emily that is in hair school got to help cut his hair and they did a great job. He was such a trooper at his hair cut thanks to all the ladies wanting to play with him, they kept him entertained for quite sometime while they wacked it all off. Then they got to the back of his head and he was done but they weren't done cutting it. He got mad so didn't finish everything but close enough. I just went home and finished it another day when he was happy!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwdCwy8twI/AAAAAAAAAIE/0tN8tuMqVf0/s200/09-11-2010+012.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515815576917554946" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwdxWysRaI/AAAAAAAAAIM/a3Bq26zqw4U/s200/09-11-2010+018.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515816377391007138" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIweAFRMkUI/AAAAAAAAAIU/0IXacWWlsWQ/s200/09-11-2010+022.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515816630385152322" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIweMOk5yFI/AAAAAAAAAIc/BP7Qu-4NM-g/s200/09-11-2010+024.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515816839042156626" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwedbW6y0I/AAAAAAAAAIk/NECWg6NIgTU/s200/09-11-2010+039.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515817134530939714" />

Andrews first Vacation!

Andrew when on his first vacation in July to my Grandpa's house in California. Each day was in the high 90's low 100's. It was so hot but so much fun. What is normally about an 8-10 hour drive turned into a 12 hour drive with a baby. He was definitely a trooper on the trip there. We went swimming everyday in my grandpas pool and had a blast. He was such a hit with everyone there, that there was no relaxation time just being passed around from person to person. We originally went down for my cousins wedding and just had a blast. We got a four generation picture with Andrew. When I have it available I will be sure and post it. Brad and I got some time to ourselves for a day and went to Disneyland for free and left Andrew with his aunts uncles and Grammy.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwcRcAIjtI/AAAAAAAAAH8/FXWgbVGMJNA/s200/07-27-2010+058.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515814729522122450" /></a

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwaxvVGuqI/AAAAAAAAAHU/t1oL9S_o0Pk/s200/07-27-2010+061.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515813085442914978" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwbPJKe_4I/AAAAAAAAAHk/Kh0UKBqq2oU/s200/07-27-2010+073.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515813590593896322" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TIwbe0YTwTI/AAAAAAAAAHs/xi-Mc70aPEo/s200/07-27-2010+074.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5515813859892642098" />
we were lucky enough to have my grandpa send us home with money to buy us a crib since andrew grew out of his bassinett. So the title is kinda a lie, but hey what the heck, you are kinda busy with a new little guy around to take care of. Im sure you all want to know what the Vanfleet family has been up to lately. Well, Andrew is almost 3 months old on August 5th. He is so much fun to have around, I jsut don't know what I would do without him.

June 22nd I was supposed to go back to work at discover card but they called me the day before and told me that I don't qualify for FMLA and because of that I had no reinstatement rights. And I had 30 days to repost for a job at discover, and if I don't get hired by July 23 then I am terminated. Well that sent me into panic mode thinking how are we going to pay the bills, and have money for food and gas. Well somehow things have worked out so far. But I was also glad that I didn't get FMLA because I didn't like the team I was on and even better I got that much more time to spend with my new little guy. So I did what they asked just hoping I would not get hired back and just file unemployment. I guess I hoped too much because I had two interviews and two days after my second interview I got a call offering me the position in collections. I of course had to take it so we can get the bills paid off and then Brad promised me that I will be able to quit after that. I hope its really soon. I was actually supposed to start on July 26th but went in and the trainer is out till August 5th. So now I am waiting till August 9th to start training.

Andrew turned one month on June 5th, and is growing so much. He is such a mommy boy. I am the only one that is able to put him to sleep and he is such a cuddle bug. We have been going to a mom and baby group with my friend and I can ask questions that I have and get feed back from other moms. And just have fun seeing all the other kids there and hope that when Andrew gets older he will be able to interact with them.
This is the only picture of him on June 5th.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TE9PBLO2mzI/AAAAAAAAAGI/DS95cbqai3A/s200/027.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498700551656217394" />

Andrew turned two months on July 5th, and unfortunately it just slipped by us and didn't do much for it. I atleast got a picture of him, but its just not a very good one. We took Andrew to his 2 month check up on July 6th. He had to get the six shots and that was so sad. But the first thing they do at any check up is get his measurements. I was so excited for his appointment just for this. They started with his length and he was 23 3/4 inches long and that is the 80% for his age. Then we got him butt naked and weighed him, he was 13 lbs 4.5 oz 85%. Then his head was 41.1 cm, 78%. All together he is a BIG boy!! The doctor walked in the room and looked at his measurements and said, "WOW, he is three pounds heavier than the last two month old I just saw." We all kinda just laughed at that. The doctor said we are doing great as parents and keep up the great work. That made me feel good. Although he is getting a flat head.
This is the only picture I have of him at two months old.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TE9P91i2WXI/AAAAAAAAAGQ/91P7W7d3beE/s200/07-27-2010+036.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498701593806526834" />

Andrew has been discovering alot of things lately. The biggest thing is his voice. He is talking like crazy (baby talk, that is). Also he loves his hands. Those things are always wet. Its the best when he sucks on his hands and then puts his hands all over your face. Its so great being a mommy. Brad hates the slobber and spit up but thats what you get when you have a baby. He loves to smile at you but when he is done he is done and you don't keep trying. He goes to bed at about 10:30 now and sleeps most times till about 6:30. If only I could go to bed as soon as he does instead of staying up late.
This is the first picture we ever got of him smiling.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TE9Qo69HQAI/AAAAAAAAAGY/ANu8aZlQZfI/s200/065.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498702333993238530" />

We have so many names for this guy. He will never know what his actual name is when he is older. Right now we call him...
Bubba
Monkey
Stinker
Piggy
Oinker
Andy
Drew
Squirt
Kangaroo... those are just a few.

On July 1st we got professional pictures done of him and they are so stinkin cute. He was being so stubborn that day. He was not mad but not happy. We only got 2 pictures of him smiling and the rest just a straight face. But I just love them so much. I will post those at a later time.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TE9RF1bFkvI/AAAAAAAAAGg/eJLjVv4nS4Q/s200/06-04-10+035.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498702830724551410" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TE9RS7FGAxI/AAAAAAAAAGo/RR67GmR3nqM/s200/andrew+fix+3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498703055581217554" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TE9RgjYH5AI/AAAAAAAAAGw/YcxkAo0gybg/s200/07-27-2010+041.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498703289736750082" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TE9R4kcYnlI/AAAAAAAAAG4/gBQifAEkEMQ/s200/07-27-2010+019.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498703702339919442" />

Andrews Blessing!

June 13, 2010 was a special day for us. Andrew received a name and a blessing from his daddy. It was a rainy day and everyone was running late. In fact the most important person was almost late to his own blessing because his parents don't have any sense in time sometimes. We made it though. There was lots of family and friends there to support Brad and Me. And a special thanks to all those that were in the circle. Although I could only hear bits and pieces of the blessing Brad told me exactly what he said later and it was a great blessing for our bundle of JOY! We had a luncheon later and had pulled pork and different kinds of salads and got lots of pictures of the handsome little guy. He was perfect the whole day, no messy diaper to stain his outfit (like you always hear about), no crying during the blessing. Just happy and smiling for everyone. In fact he slept for alot of church. All together it was a great day. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!!
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 133px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TE9Errbps0I/AAAAAAAAAFo/0xCQyVS4QYU/s200/902721031_img_0014.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498689187226432322" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 133px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TE9FKQAF2rI/AAAAAAAAAFw/gk-2q-oBkm8/s200/902725860_img_0052.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498689712439024306" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 133px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TE9FapRGX3I/AAAAAAAAAF4/8ZSK8E_NVbM/s200/902727962_img_0072.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498689994099154802" />

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 133px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TE9FnsBQG6I/AAAAAAAAAGA/gQeNLQ5O2ME/s200/902731051_img_0098.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5498690218176289698" />

Andrew James Vanfleet Has Arrived!!

I can't believe he is here! Well he has been here for exactly 4 weeks today but mommy and daddy have been very busy with him. And every time I think about telling you all the story he always wants his mommy. He is definately already a mama's boy! /he has been such a blessing to us and has brought us many smiles, laughs, and tears! I couldn't ask for anything better. Andrew was born May 5th, at 11:58 pm, weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz and 20 inches long. He has tons of hair cute chubby cheeks like his mom! So here is the story, you can read if you want or you can just skip it and look at the pictures!

I had been having contractions at about 37 weeks so Brad took me to the hospital just to find out that those were pre labor contractions. Then the following monday I had extreme pain in my side and had not felt the baby move much so the doctor had me come in early for my appointment and do a non stress test and everything turned out fine and he said that I would have a baby in less than a week because he had also stripped my membranes and that is supposed to put you into labor. Ya right, I was still pregnant for the next week. So when we got the the doctor the next week he was shocked to see us there and told us that he was going to induce me because he was scared that we were going to have a baby that was to big to come out naturally since Brad was 10 lbs 5 oz when he was born. He wanted to wait till friday but the hospital was all booked that day for inducing and so he decided for wednesday, thankgoodness not sooner because I had my math final on tuesday. We also had our 1st anniversary on May 2nd and thankfully no baby had come yet, and not much celebrating because I was so overdone being pregnant.

Wednesday had finally arrived and I got ready for the hospital and I was still so clam until we got about 5 minutes from the hospital and then I got so nervous and scared. I got checked into the hospital at 7:30 am and they started me on pitocin immediately. About 8:30 the doctor finally got in to break my water. Not a fun experience because it feels like you are soaking the bed with any kind of movement. For the next 4 hours the nurse kept coming in and asking if I could feel those contractions. I was not feeling anything too painful. It was a mild pain, but I could tolerate it. So they kept upping the pitocin and eventually it got so bad that I was in tears and so I got the epidural at 1:30 and shockingly Brad stayed in the room with me and watched the whole thing and didn't pass out. And from that minute on it was party time. I was feeling great. I had to keep rolling side to side to start dialating. I was a 2 when I got to the hospital and by about 4:00 I was at a four. During some of the rolling from side to side the baby was stressing and his heart rate was dropping so I was getting monitored very closely and they did a few extra things to help with the monitoring but I don't really remember what that was. By about 7 I was dialated to a 7. The doctor said he would be back by about 9:30 to check me and if I had not progressed it would be a c-section. So by 10:00 I was at a 10. I was ready to go. They gave me a half hour to get ready for this and by 10:30 I had to be ready to start pushing. I was so scared at that time with mixed feelings about having my child here soon. Everyone left the room but Brad and my mom and we began pushing. About 5 minutesinto the process i started having extreme back pain that would not be relieved with anything I did. I even had an epidural so i was not supposed to be feeling anything but pressure down south. It got be so bad that I was crying, so brad pushed the epidural button to give me an extra dose. That didn't do a darn thing so the anathesiologist came and gave me a third dose all within about 10 minutes. I was getting so exhausted from pushing while crying at the same time from the pain, that I told the doctor that if he doesn't come in the next couple minutes or pushes I was done and we would be doing a c-section. Well the doctor didn't agree with that, so he did some cutting and then pulled out the forcepts to get him here. After a couple pulls with the forcepts his head finally came out and after one more push he finally came out. I looked at Brad and he was crying and i asked him why and he said "because he is here". Once I heard them say he was here, I fell back and passed out(took a snooze immediately) for about an hour. I finally held him at like one in the morning. The next couple days were busy in the hospital with many visitors. We found out he had jaundice so he had to be under the darn lights so we couldn't hold him much. Friday I was supposed to be graduating and walking with my class but that didn't happen. It was much better to have a baby in my arms than to walk. I got released friday night but Andrew had to stay an extra night because of the jaundice. So we went out to dinner to celebrate graduation and the arrival of andrew. Saturday moring we got to leave the hospital at about 10:00. We had to take him home on the bili lights so we couldn't hold him much and I was so sad. By monday morning he was all better and done on the lights.

By his two week check up he weighed 9 lbs 1 oz and the doctor was shocked. And yesterday they weighed him and he is already 10 lbs 12 oz. He is getting so big too fast. He is doing great, and wants to be held all the time.

Here are a few pictures. I will post more later but enjoy for now.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_b-eeZMWTB4w/TAaVHUVk7-I/AAAAAAAAAEw/NegMQ5ey55k/s200/andrew+james+first+pics+003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5478229949693620194" />
Me at 39 1/2 weeks pregnant. Brad and I went to our 20 week check up back in december and found out that we are having a big.... BOY!!! We are so excited to be having him in just a few months. At the ultrasound, we got to watch him suck on his thumb and open and close his mouth. The nurse said that he was swallowing the amniotic fluid. As long as he thinks it tasts good, I guess im okay with that. He doens't really move much. I think he sleeps 24/7 so when he comes out he is probably going to think its always time to play and keep mom and dad awake. We are currently at 26 1/2 weeks right now and I continue to grow. In the past month I have only gained 4 lbs. so the doctor was really happy for me. The doctor says he is growing rapidly and says we will probably be having a baby sometime in April. My due date is currently May 8th, which i hope he comes before that because that is the day after I graduate college. We are currently just trying to put together all the things that we need for this little boy. I we actually bought our first box of diapers. And thats when it really hit Brad that we will be having a little boy soon. I cannot wait to meet my little boy, I just can't wait. Thankgoodness that we only have a few more months left till we get to see him. Here are a few pitures for your pleasure!!

Me at 24 weeks.

Baby Vanfleet at 20 weeks showing mom and dad his package.

Baby Vanfleet at 20 weeks with his cute little face.

Fantastic News!!!

The Vanfleet family is expanding!!! I think it was September 9th but I could be wrong, I had noticed that I had missed my period by almost 2 weeks and began wondering if we were pregnant. So I woke up that morning at 9 and the first thing I did was take the home pregnancy test. The test came out positive before I could even finish the job!! I showed Brad and he was just extatic, and I was like mmm what do we do? This was clearly unplanned for us, so we were very shocked, surprised, but also very happy at the same time! That day I made the first doctors appointment and it was set for september 30th. I was so excited to make sure that the home pregnancy test was right. The nurse that set the appointment said that according to her calander that I was due on May 7th. During the few weeks that we had to wait for the first appointment, I discovered that I was eating so much all the time, and I was getting tired very easily and all the time. At the first visit on September 30th we got to hear the heartbeat of the baby, and thats when it finally hit me that we are actually pregnant, and I just couldn't wipe the smile off my face. I was 9 nine weeks at this appointment. And also at that visit the doctor couldn't give an exact due date but said somewhere from May 5-9th. The next visit was set for october 28th where I would be 13 weeks. At this visit, I got the second ultrasound and saw that the baby was actually taking on the shape of an acutal body unlike week 9 where is was just a blob. And I was measuring at 13 weeks and 1 day and the doc said the due date was now May 4th. This baby is growing like a monster, because everytime we go for a visit, it is an earlier due date than the visit before. The best thing is that since I have been pregnant, I have only been sick one day. I hear that I am very lucky because everyone else is sick for the first trimester at the least. So people think that its a boy and so does Brad, but I want a girl. The next visit is the day before thanksgiving on the 25th of November. I will be 17 weeks then. The earliest the doc says that we can find out the gender is 16 weeks. So its a possiblity that we know at the next visit, but im just not sure if I want to find out the sex just yet. When I have some time I will take pictures of how big I am already getting but for now I just have pictures of the peanut for you.

This is Baby Vanfleet at 9 weeks.

This is Baby Vanfleet at 13 weeks.

Our Travel across the country

Just after we got married May 2nd we quickly began our journey out of state. Leaving Utah May 6th with our bags bursting at the seams, and our car overloaded with stuff, began our journey to the east coast to Boston Massachusettes where Brad's job took us. It ended taking us three days to get there stopping every few hours to let the dogs out and switch between the two drivers. We arrived at midnight on friday exhausted from the long trip and our dogs just wanting to play. We drove through rain and sun hoping our car would not hydroplane. Saturday we started putting the house together which didn't take long because cause our car can only hold so much stuff. Here are some pictures of Pebbles trying to help put the apartment together...

this is pebbles playing in the suitcase

this is pebbles and pugsley waiting for me to play with them

pebbles playing and making pugsley mad

As newlyweds journeying across the country money is short at times and we had to mix pebbles and pugsleys food together and she didn't like it too much, so she decieded to make a mess and try to get her pieces out. We left Boston sunday afternoon and arrived to baltimore maryland late that night where we stayed the night at his uncle mark's house. We then got on the road again and made our way to jacksonville arriving at midnight agian with no apartment reserved for us to live in. Ended up getting stuck in the back window behind the head rest.

Pebbles and Pugsley so patient waiting to arrive at the next stop

Pebbles taking a nap in our bed. She is so spoiled that it is driving brad crazy.

This is pebbles and me waiting for brad to get home from a long days work. He always likes it when I get all prettied up for him. So I surprised him this day.

We then set up house again in jacksonville and brad continued to stay positive and happy for almost five weeks and then decided to join pest control instead of selling alarm systems for pinnacle which is the most recent move. It has taken us to Orlando Florida. We are currently in an extended stay hotel till pest controls gets us into an apartment on saturday. We will have moved four times in two months. This has been such an interesting first two months of our marriage. I know it will only get better and we will soon settle down somewhere. He is acutally talking about staying here in Orlando florida for atleast a year. I just told him that he is crazy. But again we will see what happens. We have seen some of the sites here in Orlando even the Orlando temple which is beautiful and will soon do a session there. We went to the BIGGEST McDonalds in the world and got some ice cream. We decided to go inside and see what its all about and it is was two stories with arcades everywhere. We even had a chance to go bowling at McDonalds but just watched a few people instead. They even have a gourmet food selection instead of just the fatty food. Kids were going everywhere. And this is just the start of our experience here in Orlando. More updates to come to see if we really stay in Orlando

As the day unfolds!!

I don't know where to start cause theres so much to catch you up on. I know you are wondering how the wedding went. Well it all started on April 30th when Brad took me through the temple. That was such an amazing experience. And I am so thankful for everyone that was able to go through with me. The next day, May 1st was Brian and Jill's college graduation. It was an all day thing and that night we had to go to the church and set up for the reception. Late friday night was a party and no one wanted to go to bed at my parents house. I finally went to bed about midnight. I had to be up by 3:00 in the morning to have my sister come do my hair for the big day. (And emily if you read this thanks again, so much for doing my hair twice on my wedding day.) Emily finally made it to the house and we got right to work. When she had finished we all had to rush to get everything and not forget anything as we were off the salt lake temple by 6:25 in the morning. Brad and I left cause my family still was not ready. When Brad and I had arrived at the temple, his family was waiting for us to arrive. (Wow, thats sad that the bride and groom were late to their own sealing.) The session started at 7:40 but Brad and I got to sit together in the celestial room till it was our turn to get married. It was so amazing. We walked into the sealing room and so many people were there. (A special thanks to all that were in attendance at the sealing, and also the others waiting outside the temple.) I would say we were probably married by about 8:00 in the morning may 2nd. When Brad and I exited the temple we had family and friends waiting for us in the pouring rain. I felt so bad, but i am so happy they still waited. We didn't get very many pictures cause of the rain. And the pictures we did get everyone else is soaked but Brad and Me. At about 11:00 in the morning we had a luncheon provided by Brad's family and it was so good. Then I had to get my hair done again cause of the rain. We were supposed to be to the church by 4:00 to get all the pictures but that all fell apart also. The flowers my sister had made so perfectly the night before were ruined by the fridge we stored them in. She was still trying to the flowers done as the reception had started. People were just filling the room all night with not much of a break. We never got all the pictures needed. We finally got to cut the cake and it was my favorite part of the whole night. Brad just wanted to get to the hotel and I wanted to take my time. Brad told me to be nice and not make a mess with the cake so we could leave. So I told him I would be nice. And to his surprise I was not nice at all. He didn't even get a taste of the cake until he took it off his face and tried a piece. I smered it al over him. And he got me just a little bit but mostly down the front of my dress. As we were cleaning each other up i licked some of the frosting off his face and he didn't like it at all. Then i thew the boquet and christina anderson caught it. And Brad searched for the garter and finally got it and my brother brian finally caught it. Then we got dressed and headed for the car and found it a disaster. Brad booked our honeymoon at the little america. We had a great start to our marriage. Then a few days later we opened all our gifts from the wedding and to our surprise we only had two or three duplicates of gifts. I loved all the gifts we got. Everything that we wanted. Pictures will be coming eventually.

Then it was off to our big adventure to boston massachusettes. It took us three days to get there and we ended up only staying for a week cause Brad's managers were not be honest and fair the their employees. So we decided to move to Jacksonville florida. We have been here for about 2 weeks now and loving it. Pebbles our little dog hurt her leg, we had to missionaries over or dinner with an investigator, spiders attacking brad,and the rain flooding nearby areas, and the torando watch, its now hurricane season, and the sun beating on my skin. You will be jealous of my tan when i come home. We will be taking a trip to the orlando temple on june 27th with the ward and my sister will be with us for that week also. orlando is about 2 1/2 hours away so its an all day trip. So we think we will just stay the night a few nights and go to universal studios orlando and walt disney world.

I will try and keep up with this from here on out.

our first post

Welcome to the blog of Liz and Brad AKA world class mis fits.
